KOSPI Triggers Circuit Breaker as Index Falls 5.55% on July 24

According to the Seoul Exchange, both KOSPI and KOSDAQ markets triggered sell-side circuit breakers on July 24 following sustained selling pressure from foreign investors and institutional traders. As of 1:22 p.m., the KOSPI index fell 394.01 points (5.55%) to 6,702.88. Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix declined over 7% each amid the broad selloff. The KOSPI circuit breaker was activated at 11:23 a.m.
