KOSPI Tumbles to Near 7,000, Down 0.27% by Afternoon on July 9

South Korea's benchmark equity index KOSPI fell sharply intraday on July 9, threatening the 7,000 level before recovering slightly. By 1:38 p.m., KOSPI traded at 7,246.52, down 0.27% from the previous close. The index opened with gains of 3.31% at 7,486.64 and reached an intraday high of 7,543.86 in the morning, but selling pressure intensified in the afternoon session.
