OpenClaw Foundation Officially Established, Gains 4.5M Weekly Users

According to its official blog, OpenClaw announced the formal establishment of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation, co-founded by Peter Steinberger and Dave Morin. The foundation aims to democratize personal AI capabilities through an open and independent model. OpenClaw now adds 4.5 million users weekly and has become the fastest-growing code repository in GitHub history. Key partners include OpenAI (providing inference support), NVIDIA (supporting local private deployment), Microsoft (building Microsoft Scout on the technology), and the University of Michigan (largest donor). Over 30 organizations, including Tencent, Atlassian, Vercel, and Cloudflare, have joined the partnership network. OpenClaw has held 34 global events across 16 countries with approximately 30,000 participants.
