Rebellon Successfully Runs SK Telecom's 500B+ Parameter AI Model on Domestic NPU Servers

According to Yonhap News, Rebellon, a domestic AI chip company, successfully ran SK Telecom's A.X K1 model (500B+ parameters) on its Rebel Server with domestic NPU processors today (July 23). The demonstration showed the model handling multiple concurrent user requests in real time, with an AI agent service that processed queries like finding pharmacies available on weekends. Rebellon applied a mixture-of-experts (MoE) structure to optimize computational efficiency and distributed workloads across NPU cores for parallel processing, enabling single-server infrastructure performance comparable to high-end GPU servers while reducing data center operational burden.
