South Korea's First-Half Budget Execution Surpasses Target by 20.8 Trillion Won; Supplementary Budget at 87.4% in 81 Days

According to South Korea's Planning & Budget Office, which held a fiscal execution review meeting on July 8, the country's first-half supplementary budget was executed at 87.4% within 81 days of its confirmation on April 10. The office announced that primary budget execution reached 416.6 trillion won as of June 30, exceeding the first-half target of 395.8 trillion won by 20.8 trillion won, with an execution rate of 63.3%, surpassing the 60.2% goal.
