According to the Federal Reserve, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma joined the central bank's Productivity and Jobs task force on Thursday, days after announcing a major restructuring that will eliminate 3,200 positions through fiscal year 2027. The task force will examine artificial intelligence's impact on employment and economic productivity as part of the Fed's monetary policy approach. Sharma, who previously led Microsoft's Core AI group, joins venture capitalist Marc Andreessen and Stanford economist Charles I. Jones on the panel.
