Zcash Launches Zakura Node Targeting 50K Transactions Per Second, Ironwood Upgrade Activates July 28

ZEC1.68%
According to ChainCatcher, Zcash launched Zakura full node, a pruned fast-sync fork of Zebra maintained by a team independent of the Zcash Foundation. The node aims to boost network throughput to Visa and Mastercard levels by reducing verification data and eliminating wallet performance bottlenecks as part of Zcash's scaling initiative. Zakura supports the Ironwood (NU6.3) upgrade activating on July 28, which introduces a turnstile mechanism to limit Orchard shielded pool withdrawals and control counterfeit ZEC potentially generated by long-standing soundness bugs.
