🔍 Arkham Intelligence has just announced the largest Bitcoin hack in history, which was concealed for 4 years.
On December 28, 2020, the Chinese mining pool LuBian was hacked and 127.426 BTC was stolen, worth approximately 3.5 billion USD at that time. This amount of Bitcoin is currently equivalent to 14.5 billion USD. What is shocking is that neither the victim nor the hacker has disclosed the incident, leaving it silent until now.
Arkham reported that the vulnerability lies in LuBian's private key generation algorithm, which is susceptible to brute-force attacks. Despite sending over 1,500 OP_RETURN messages to the hacker's wallet, they still could not recover the coin.
