Is the scalping of music festival tickets rampant? On-chain ticketing may be able to solve this long-standing problem.

A DAO project has a clear idea: to hold music festivals in the metaverse, with NFT tickets on the blockchain for anti-counterfeiting, linking online and offline activities, providing real exposure rights for ticket holders, and a viable business model.

The immutable nature of blockchain is naturally suitable for ticketing - each ticket has a unique ID, and the transfer records are fully traceable, making it almost impossible for scalpers to hoard tickets for speculation. Coupled with smart contracts that set resale limits, the prices in the secondary market can be controlled.

The key is that this gameplay goes beyond just conceptualization; there are practical plans for offline activities, brand exposure, and profit distribution. The combination of Web3 and the traditional entertainment industry might just pave a new path.

The scalpers, who are also bystanders like me, want to cry after watching.
