Little Pepe vs Shiba Inu: Is the Meme Coin King of the Next Bull Run Coming?

robot
Abstract generation in progress

In this cycle, analysts are all eyeing a new project—Little Pepe (LILPEPE). Why? Because some are comparing it to SHIB’s insane rally in 2021, even projecting a potential 24,505% gain. Sounds a bit exaggerated, but the data is actually worth a look.

The Lesson from SHIB: High Supply = Growth Ceiling

Shiba Inu really did pull off a massive run in 2021—surging 45,000%. But now? Its circulating supply exceeds 580 trillion tokens, which basically locks the price. Even with a burn mechanism introduced by the team, it barely made a splash. The result? SHIB is now down 88% from its all-time high.

In other words, SHIB’s golden age is over.

What Makes Little Pepe Different?

Key point: It’s not just a meme, it’s an ecosystem.

This project has already raised $27.4 million in its presale, selling 16.6 billion tokens. The current Stage 13 price is $0.0022, which is up 120% from the starting price. That’s some decent hype.

But the real highlight is its infrastructure:

  • Built on Ethereum, but runs its own Layer 2 chain
  • Zero tax trading (no fees on buys or sells)
  • Its own meme coin launchpad (essentially an incubator for future meme coins)
  • Sniper bot protection (to prevent whales from dumping on retail)

These features might not sound sexy, but they’re crucial for the project’s sustainability.

The Token Model Says a Lot

LILPEPE’s unlock plan is pretty restrained:

  • Presale tokens: 0% at TGE, locked for 3 months, then 5% released monthly
  • Marketing tokens: Same 6-month cliff, then 5% released monthly
  • Liquidity & exchange reserve: Locked until official launch

Compared to SHIB’s early “free for all,” this vesting model helps avoid post-launch dumping.

Why Is the Market So Bullish?

Analysts are mainly focused on a few points:

  1. About to list on two top exchanges—CEX liquidity could trigger FOMO
  2. Community hype—currently running a 15 ETH Mega Giveaway (15 winners get 0.5 ETH each), plus a $777,000 global lottery
  3. Low entry price—a price under $0.0025 is actually a decent entry in the meme coin world
  4. Layer 2 edge—fast transactions + low fees means more potential than pure hype projects

But Here’s the Reality…

That 24,505% figure sounds awesome, but it’s based on the logic of “if it can replicate early SHIB or PEPE hype.” It’s late 2025 now, and meme coins are everywhere—every project claims to be the next SHIB.

Risks are clear:

  • The token is still in presale, with main risks being the team running off or failing to deliver
  • Even after listing on big exchanges, you’re betting the community hype will hold up
  • No matter how strong the Layer 2 ecosystem is, it can’t save a weak project

Should You Get In Now?

If you’re a meme coin gambler, LILPEPE is a bit more legit than pure hype plays—at least it has something to show, not just vaporware. But that 24,505% expectation? Don’t take it seriously.

The real scenario is: after listing, a short-term FOMO pump of several times to maybe 10x is possible, but if you want five-digit gains, you’re betting on sustained community enthusiasm and that the Layer 2 ecosystem will actually deliver.

Bottom line: If you’re not ready to lose 50%, don’t touch it.

PEPE-8.71%
SHIB-5.89%
ETH-3.51%
