Trading in the crypto world, having less capital can actually be an advantage— as long as you don't commit suicide.

Too many people jump in thinking about doubling their money, going all-in, or chasing limit-ups. But what’s the result? Losing isn’t because the opportunity isn’t there; it’s because the emotional explosion in the first wave causes you to exit immediately.

The 8 survival rules I’ve developed over the years boil down to two core principles: capital preservation.

**Don’t Expect to Turn Things Around When Stuck**
Getting trapped is normal; the deadly mistake is trying to turn the tide immediately. The only task at this point is to stop the loss, reduce costs, regain control, and avoid trying to be a hero.

**The Calmest Moments Are the Most Dangerous**
Consolidation and lack of volatility don’t mean safety. Many fierce market moves happen when you’re most relaxed.

**Rapid Rises Are Usually Traps**
When prices rise too quickly, the market needs to digest it. During oscillations and converging patterns, both bulls and bears are renegotiating the price.

**Good Positions Never Chase**
Comfortable entry points are always found during pullbacks and panic. Being able to hold during upward moves and daring to buy during dips—that’s true skill.

**Stay Out Without a Clear Direction**
No chasing, no copying; when the market consolidates, rest. Holding steady is more profitable than reckless operations.

**Follow the Trend with Support and Resistance**
Look for bottom support in uptrends, top resistance in downtrends. Going against the trend blindly is luck-based and can cost you dearly.

**Position Size Is Life**
Full positions and all-in bets leave no room for error. The market is always there; surviving until the right moment is the real challenge.

**Ultimately, It’s About Mindset**
Technical skills are easy; the real difference-maker is whether you can control the impulses to chase gains or cut losses.

In simple terms: in crypto, it’s not about who has exploded once; it’s about who is still alive. Focus on solid capital preservation, and making money will come sooner or later. $BTC

well technically the whole "survival of the fittest" angle here is just risk management wrapped in dramatic language lmao... but yeah, staying alive in crypto beats one lucky 100x any day

That's right, being alive is the most important... So many people are gone with just one gamble, I've seen too many.

You're right, but I feel that most people simply can't follow these 8 rules, especially the one that says "leave it blank if there's no direction"... I myself get itchy to make random moves when the market is sideways. This round also reminds me of the blood and tears of my last all-in, and I finally realized that capital preservation is truly the first lesson. Unfortunately, by the time I understood, I was already out of funds. The most heartbreaking part is still the phrase "only look at who is still alive." The crypto world is like that—those who make money and those who survive until now are not the same group of people.

Wow, really, those who went all-in are all dead, only the survivors are the winners.

On-chain data shows that big players are indeed reducing their positions in this wave of operations. To put it simply, the profit protection logic discussed in this article was already evident in my late-night monitoring three months ago. Going all-in with full positions indeed leaves no room for error. From the contract changes, it’s clear that those who survive are always more valuable than those who have experienced a blowout once.
