DeBot Announces Full Compensation for $250,000 Loss Caused by Data Leak at Japan Data Center
The DeBot team issued a statement saying that due to a data leak of some users' wallet information at the Japan data center caused by a data center expansion and migration, hackers exploited the leaked data to steal assets, resulting in a total loss of $250,000. Affected users can apply for 100% compensation, and the team recommends transferring risky assets as soon as possible.
Odaily Planet Daily reported that the DeBot team issued a security incident statement on the X platform, indicating that due to the data center expansion and migration operation carried out on December 9, 2025, some users' wallet information at the Japan data center was leaked. On December 27, 2025, hackers used the leaked data to crack and transfer assets, causing a total loss of $250,000.
According to DeBot monitoring, this incident only affected wallets created or imported before December 10, 2025. Wallets generated afterward are not affected. The DeBot team promises to fully compensate all affected users and has launched an official compensation registration page. Users can submit their applications, and the official will complete the review within 72 hours and directly transfer the compensation to the user's secure wallet address.
The team also reminds users to transfer their remaining unaffected risky wallet assets as soon as possible. If they continue to use the affected wallets, any subsequent losses caused by new transactions will not be covered.
