Samourai co-founder of the mixing service was sentenced to five years in prison for Money Laundering.

On November 7, Bloomberg reported that the co-founder of the crypto mixer Samourai Wallet was sentenced to five years in prison for a money laundering case involving the laundering of hundreds of millions of dollars from illegal dark web transactions and fraud schemes. Keonne Rodriguez was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Denise Cote on Thursday, with the prison term being the maximum sentence for conspiracy to operate an unlicensed money transmission business, to which Rodriguez has pleaded guilty.
