OpenAI denies collaborating with Robinhood to launch equity tokens
Gate News bot message, OpenAI Newsroom officially released a statement, which pointed out that the “OpenAI Token” circulating in the market is not related to the company’s equity. OpenAI clarified that the company has not established any partnership with Robinhood, nor has it participated in related projects or given any endorsement.
The statement emphasized that the equity transfer of OpenAI requires official approval, and no related transactions have currently been approved. In response, Elon Musk directly stated in a comment: “Your ‘equity’ is fake.”
It is worth noting that before this statement was released, Robinhood EU announced the launch of its first batch of token products for unlisted company stocks, which include companies like OpenAI and SpaceX.
