Jin10 Data reported on October 19 that, local time on October 19, Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi welcomed the ceasefire protocol reached between Pakistan and Afghanistan in Doha, Qatar on the evening of the 18th, stating that “this is the first step in the right direction.” Qureshi also expressed hope to establish a specific and verifiable monitoring mechanism in the next round of meetings hosted by Turkey to address the threat of attacks on Pakistan from within Afghanistan. On the same day, Afghan government spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid issued a statement indicating that the negotiations between Afghan and Pakistani representatives held in Qatar had concluded, and both sides signed a bilateral agreement. Neither side will take any hostile actions against the other nor support groups that attack the Pakistani government. Both sides will avoid targeting each other's security forces, civilians, or critical infrastructure. In the future, a mechanism will be established to review bilateral claims under the mediation of a third country to ensure the effective implementation of the agreement.
