Sherrod Brown, chairman of the Senate Banking Committee (who will leave Congress on January 3), plans to vote on Crenshaw’s nomination on December 18. Brown said the nomination decision was delayed because Republican senators ‘acted on behalf of special interest groups’, possibly referring to the cryptocurrency industry.
