Hyosung Establishes AI Fusion Research Institute on July 8

According to Yonhap Infomax, South Korean industrial conglomerate Hyosung established the AI Fusion Research Institute on July 8 to integrate cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies with its existing manufacturing, textile, and chemical businesses. The institute will focus on developing high-value products and designing future business initiatives for subsidiary companies including Hyosung Heavy Industries, Hyosung TNC, and Hyosung Chemical. Hyosung appointed Maeng Sung-hyun, professor emeritus at KAIST and AI expert with over 30 years of experience in natural language processing and text mining, as the institute's inaugural director.
